FINALS are here and I feel so unprepared! I don't know if I'll do as well as I want to just becuase my time management is really bad. There aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish everything I want to do and have to do. I have two finals on Monday, a presentation and final on Tuesday. I think I'm ready for Tuesday but Monday is a different story. My first final is at 8 so I have to be prepared by the time I get to school. There are nine pages to the review and I'm about half way done. We'll see what I happens! I hope everyone does great on all of their finals! YAY for the upcoming break!

I recently went to a play called "Pico de Gallo". My sorority brought it onto TCU's campus last week. The play discusses the different racial stereotpyes in a comedic way. I was really excited that the play was going to be on our campus because I'd heard so much about it. THis play was given a lot of great reviews. THe play originated in Dallas and is now doing shows all over the metroplex. TCU was their first performance in Fort Worth. I really liked watching the play because it discussed a lot of topics that people are usually afraid to mention. I'm glad that people at TCU had the opportunity to view such a wonderful play.

BOO AT THE ZOO

On Tuesday, I volunteered for Boo at the Zoo. I went with some of my friends and we had so much fun. Two of my friends dressed up, one as a penguin and the other as a koala. My job was to escort the penguin to make sure that she was safe at all times. I had to help her walk through the front of the zoo and make sure she took her breaks. I felt kind of bad for her becasue I imagine that it gets hot in the costume. Towards the end of the night, we were all getting really tired and some of the other volunteeres were wanting to go home. To lighten up the mood, my two friends skipped around the zoo. It worked becasue all of the volunteers were laughing at them and they seemed to be enjoying it. Overall, I thought Boo at the Zoo was so much fun. I know the kids really enjoy it so I was happy to help them in any way I could. I would definitely volunteer there again.

TCU WINS!!!!!!
I'm so excited! TCU won 38-17 against the Army. It was a good game and I'm glad I went. I thought the Army was going to beat us because they were doing really well for a while but then we came back. The Army made some mistakes that TCU took advantage of. Besides the game, the halftime show was really entertaining. The band did an awesome job. Two of my close friends are in the band so I'm always excited to see them in their uniforms. The tribute to the soldiers was also great. I'm glad that TCU had a lot of spirit! I hope we do well in the next game!!!

It Finally Happened!!!!

AS I mentioned before, I had tickets to see Don Omar for Thursday's show. I decided to go back with my friends. I was skeptical at first because he had cancelled four times and I wasn't sure if this would be the case again. HE FINALLY SHOWED UP!!! I was so excited and I had so much fun! He put on a great show!! It kind of surprised me because I was expecting something very short. My sleepless night was worth it and if he comes back I will definitely be there! I'm so happy!! :)

WHAT'S GOING ON?

I got two tickets to go see Don Omar in concert Sunday night. Don Omar is a reggaeton artist that I enjoy listening to. I hesitated to go because it was a SUNDAY and I had class at 8 o'clock the next morning. Then I realized I would be giving up two FREE tickets!!! I deciced to go and went with some of my friends. My plan was to leave if he wasn't on stage by midnight. I kept glancing at my watch and at 11 the opening act came on. I was really excited because they were starting early and I figured 15 minutes after the opening act was done, Don Omar would perform. I WAS SO WRONG!!!!!! During the opening, they had some technical difficulties so we had to wait like 20 minutes. Then, they came back and redid their entire show. I really wanted to leave so that I could actually get some sleep but I didn't. Finally the opening act was done and I figured Don Omar would be next. I WAS WRONG AGAIN!!!! By this time it was about 1:00 in the morning. Music begins to play and everyone is so excited because they think the real show is about to start. The club owner comes out and announces that Don Omar is in the hospital because he had an asthma attack. Usually I would be understanding but I was extremely upset becaue they could've told us as soon as he was taken to the hospital. This is the 4th time he's cancelled. The show is rescheduled for Thursday but we'll see if he actually shows!! I'll keep you posted.

ABSTRACT:
The questions I asked were “What attracts readers to personal blogs?” and “Why are personal blogs appealing?” I feel that these are necessary questions because many of the existing blogs are personal blogs. It is important to understand why people are reading these types of blogs. With so many choices out there, I wanted to find out why these are popular blogs. There has to be something that keeps readers coming back to these blogs for updates. For my case studies, I used Waiterrant, I Have Questions…Do You Have Answers? and Slice of Pink. These are personal blogs that I read and usually have comments on posts. In addition to these case studies, I sent out e-mails to readers that left comments on some of the posts. I asked them why they read the blog, what they liked about it and how they became aware of the blog. I then compiled my research to form the following conclusions.

REFLECTION:
When I first entered this class, I was confused by the blogging idea. I had never heard of a blog and I wasn't too sure what that idea entailed. As class progressed, I became more familir with the cocept of a blog. I've been surprised by the number of blogs that exist; there isn't an exact number because it keeps growing each day. This helped my research because I had many blogs to choose from. I had the opportunity to read many blogs that I wouldn'y have otherwise because of the assignment. If I had to do something different, I would probably use blogs that not many people have researched. I found that many people used the same blogs. There isn't anything wrong with that, but I would like to intreduce something differesnt.
